The wide wonderful world of earning money from words is indeed wider and more wonderful than I had thought. Not mention weirder.
For instance, it is ridiculously easy to sign up for Google AdSense. You go to their page, sign up, wait to be approved, and then put the ads on your blog. And then, you get paid. (Yes, it is a bit more complicated than that, I’m being hyperbolic.)
As I haven’t been approved yet, I still don’t know if it’s as actually easy as I think it will be. But, I will be approved, and then we shall see. Keep watching for updates!
Here’s what I’ve learned about freelance writing. Ready?
You’ll need a paypal account. Then, you go to http://www.constant-content.com/?aref=18338 Constant Content and register. If you use that link, I get some money on every sale you make, but don’t worry, it doesn’t come out of your share!
Got that done? Now, you go to http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=269255 Associated Content and register there too.
Ready for some reading? It’s easy. Go here: http://www.squidoo.com/howtobeafreelancewriter
And here: http://www.problogger.net/
Next up? I’ll be exploring the wide world of auction sites!
(Oh, and you’ll want to read the How To Be a Freelance Writer article first, because it’s full of good tips. It talks about rights, what to sell to whom, and in what order. I’ll also be researching more on this, so I’ll have more to say later on. For now, here’s hoping this is helpful!)

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI found you because I’m vain. Well actually, because I’m addicted to the referral page on sitereader and must know where my readers come from constantly. Found that someone search Google for ‘Jennifer’s Head.’ I wanted to know how high up that list I was so I clicked. Pretty high, but then I noticed you on that search and thought it was neat that we have such similar blog names.
Bored yet? Sorry, I’m always curious about what brings people to my site so I tend to suffer from over-share when I find a new site.
Anyway. I’ve been thinking about the freelance writing thing a lot lately and so will be bookmarking you even though I fear you could be my doppleganger. Google Adsense is incredibly easy, but in my experience hasn’t paid well. I am a huge fan of BlogHer. I don’t think they are accepting new applications right now, but they will again soon. I get squat for referring you, so I’m not telling you out of any self-serving notion. I’ve made a little over $25 with them since signing up.
Thanks for this list of links. I will be checking them out soon.
