Write what you know. How many times has that been preached, whispered, passed on, yelled, written, told, shared, or otherwise communicated. Well recent evenst have transpired to inspire a ditty. I have survived Belnado of 2009! A mini tornado crushed my campsite, tore other tents up and sent them out for field goals, and if that weren’t enough salt in the wound, the rain came and mixed foot deep mud soup. So in my humble opinion, I think I know that event. Imitating the great Michael Longcor, I have begun composing a ballad. It is a work in progress.

Ahem.

so swinging swords in thunderstorms was not a bright idea, and mother nature showed us why

She came again with rain and wind to a Texas ranch, and promptly tore apart the sky

It’s hard to brew a potion when your fire’s going out

You canna fly a broomstick when the winds all twist and shout

So if you hear the Goddess calling and the rain just won’t stop falling

Pack the car and promptly turn about
