having a plan
Topic: Uncategorized| No Comments »After a recent prolonged bout of writer’s block (also known as unemployed panic and depression) I decided I needed to jumpstart my creative self. I cruised the bookstore for inspiration, as is my wont, and came upon something called the Marshall plan for writing a novel. Normally I am skeptical of anything that says it is the plan. Yet, any port in a dark and stormy night. I bought it, brought it home, and proceeded to peruse its pages. I had thought the spark would be in my personal ribbing of the “plan”. Much to my delighted dismay, I was wrong. I have indeed begun to write again, and using the bits of the plan I like, I feel productive. I am even writing everyday again. Mua ha. Hopefully I will be able to reach my monthly deadline I set for myself, more on that later. I refuse to firmly predict the future. All I care to know now is that the mindforge is working again, whatever my employment status. For as long as this lasts ( and dear readers I am endeavoring to make sure it lasts a long time) I will enjoy it and use it. It’s times like this I love being wrong.
